Rev: PONT MAXIM COS III IMP VII TR POT XXIII Upright caduceus between two crossed cornucopiae framing two crossed branches.

This coin may eventually need to be moved to the Provincial section, but it is listed in RIC, if almost nowhere else. Actually this PARTICULAR type isn't even listed in RIC, being TR POT XXIII it is "unlisted" even in RIC which lists only XXI & XXII. I've always liked this coin for the boldly-styled portrait plus its oddball nature - being a clearly Roman style from a far-flung province. And, of course, because it's very, very rare!
