07.08.21.11-SmProv.jpgLot # 7123 viewsSelling on behalf of a fellow AP member - Tiny, intriguing Provincial Æ13mm, 1.19gm. Trajan or Hadrian(?) / Tetrastyle temple with pellet in pediment (statue between pillars in temple?) "NIK...ΩΝ" Bithynia, Nicaea? $9 Start, S&H $2 US , $3 OS - lehmansterms@comcast.net
Late breaking news - I found virtually the same reverse type on an Æ17 of Septimius Severus on wildwinds so I am prepared to say I'm positive it's Nicaea.
I am not, however, prepared to infer that the coin on offer today might be Septimius Severus - I still think it's Trajan or Hadrian. http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/septimius_severus/_nicaea_RecGen_390var.jpglehmansterms
