!01.03.31.13-Virtus_Ex2.jpgMark85 viewsMark - Constantine I, Superb Example: "Æ3" / Billon Centenionalis. VIRTVS EXERCIT / VOT / XX on banner, 2 captives seated at base. Mint of Lugdunum, 321 AD. RIC VII 115 (R1); SRCV 16320. The vast majority of Constantine's VIRTVS EXERCIT Centenionales have a helmeted bust obverse. On vcoins, in a search for: "VIRTVS EXERCIT", out of 70 hits I could find only a single example of a laureate portrait of Constantine I. On ebay there's not even one. $33 Start, S&H $2 US, $3 Canada, $5 OS - lehmansterms@comcast.net
In archival-quality flip with full ID, info, and one of my old, original pre-computer days, hand-typed fliptags (some of these go back as far as 30 years) in addition to the slick, modern, computer-generated tag.
Light is better in the photo above, the color is closer in the one below.

!01.03.31.13a-Virtus_Ex.jpgMark162 viewsMark - Superb and unusual example of Constantine I "Æ3" (Billon Centenionalis), laureate cuirassed bust / VIRTVS EXERCIT; 2 humiliated captives at foot of banner ins: VOT / XX. Mint of Lugdunum, 321 AD. RIC VII 115 (R1); SRCV 16320 ('88, 3885). $29 Start, S&H $2 US, $3 Canada, $5 OS - lehmansterms@comcast.net
Includes archival-quality flip with full description and 4+ catalog references. It also has one of the old fliptags I hand-typed in pre-computer days - some as much as 30 years old.
The laureate cuirassed bust is very unusual for this issue. Almost all of Constantine's VIRTVS EXERCIT Centenionales use the helmeted bust. In a recent search for: "VIRTVS EXERCIT" types on vcoins, out of 70 items returned, only a single example had a laureate portrait of Constantine. Not a single one could be found on ebay.
