Moe & Holly 4, TWO (2) GERMAN MUNICIPAL ZINC EMERGENCY MONEY- 1917 DEGGENDORF KRIEGSGELD & 1920 MĂNCHBERG NOTGELD, The Munchberg notgeld is in average circulated condition with a slightly rough texture. The Deggendorf kreigsgeld is in better condition overall but shows some damage from an aborted attempt to put a hole through it. Start $6, shipping US- $4 padded envelope and tracking/International- To be Calculated.
Unlike much of the more familiar and more common paper notgeld that was mainly issued in the mid 1920's to be sold in the American and British collector's markets, these small zinc coins were actually issued to serve as emergency money by German municipalities during and immediately following WWI.
